I was able to win one of the cars for sale. I think it will allow me to rebuild my first 1/24th slot car. I have a new body and now I have the frame to complete the car. Of course, I will try running the car in our club's current races before I attempt to rebuild the old car of mine!!!
Thanks,

Hi John, first off I don't know how anyone from Down Under can afford to ship anything there. You have to really want or need something to buy it from overseas. By the way it is being shipped out this morning. As far as the chassis is concerned my Dad bought 95% of the stuff. I know I didn't buy it. What he had on it originally I don't know but I know I commandeered it and put a 32 Ford Coupe body on it. Actually I just threw the body out about a month ago. It was pretty trashed. Hey I was 11 at the time and wasn't too careful with stuff. Anyway I didn't remember the motor going bad that was in it but the extra motor was with it in the box. This one and the Testors chassis were the only 2 items I didn't remember a lot about.
Thx for the purchase, I hope you've got a body you can make fit and get it all in running order again.Dave

Jim you bought the Cobra. That is an awesome car. That and the Gullwing were my Dad's favorite go to cars. He was really more into the hardbody racing with realistic cars. I remember when he first put it together how great the color of the paint was. I wasn't allowed to race it. The car is in as raced condition dirt and all. Enjoy it and thank you.

Thanks for the info , I make sure all parts can be used or keep and rebuild before I bid it's hard to get old1/8" stuff here ! By the time you hunt around looking for bits and pieces it's easier buying something like that. And if you adderd it up to buy all those bit it works out good with cost , with the Australian dollar.

Received the Cobra, it was safe and sound. Great job of packing it with care. I added a couple drops of oil to the Cobra and put in on my roller test stand. Made a minor wheel/ gear adjustment and the Cobra is now ready for a little action. Thanks for the great slot car. It will be kept in my hanging display case when not on the track. Spring Little Cobra!!
Thanks,

Thank for the info Jim. I know these were all run hard and put away wet. I noticed on a few cars there was a lot of wear on the pinions which would benefit with a gear change. I did have some spare parts which I sold separately but I wanted them left in as raced condition. Glad it arrived safe. I have 4 cars left over, the Daytona Cobra and the Porsche 907 that I was going to keep to run digitally but I may sell them. Still on the fence.Dave
