Great article and like the "dusting" effect on the roadway. I hadn't seen that "Christmas" car previously, may have to see if I can't hunt one of those up as that makes for a great looking layout! Thanks for sharing!

Very cool, love how the lane markings show through a bit, just like a lightly snow covered road! Thought immediately of the Santa car you used too!

            That is really neat!
Who need a a stinkin' train set? Two tracks with racing trains is a thought though? A collision crossover with pyrotechnics would be cool, a la Gomez Addams on the Addams family TV show, He engineered some great train wrecks.
I gave my 29 year old younger daughter an old Carrera Evo set I had last year and just the other day she was so excited to show me a pic of the track she set up the same way around her first Christmas tree at her new apartment. No snow and has a GTO and Maserati racing. I'll put both my daughters up against anybody racing, I trained them well, so well that I can't beat either of them. They side by side race using each other's cars to lean on in the curves, I have a digital track and could run too but I just stay out of the way and watch.
I have that Christmas car, forgot all about it, never been out of the box but I really think it needs to be on her track running now.
