I am thinking of changing the guide flag and I have to glue and true the tires.

Doc, I was going through the rules there was this regarding tape: Body screws must be stock; they can be taped over to prevent loss during the race. The tape may not control body or pod movement.

Still working out some kinks on my Supra.....
Tried the lower shore tires, seemed to slow it down a bit.

ALS, The rules says, Only Revoslot stock guides are allowed 7mm or 9mm. I changed my guide to a Revoslot 9mm.

I have put about 900 laps on it. It's smooth, but not fast. Maybe I got dud motor. But I am not buying another one. It is what it is. Someone has to finish last.

I’m declaring this one done, it turns 1.5 more laps in 3 minutes than my F40 currently so it’s about 2/10ths faster per lap. I may do some weight tuning for balance a definitely call it after that. I will continue to work on the F40 as I feel on paper it should be he faster car.

          Specs
          Porsche GT2 Mk1
          12/33 gears
          Revoslot 21k motor
          Wide rear wheels
          22 shore tires
          aligned front and rear
no tape under the brass nuts. It didn’t work well for me.
          9mm guide
          1.00mm clearance

This will be the best way to start as the rules are simple, War Eagle River has given us the Formula and the Revoslots go well out the box. Come get in the waters just right

Thank you it took 2 years to finish the body as other slot car projects were first. Then Sir Superslab built a killer Viper for the GT3 proxy and I was inspired.

bushings aligned, mesh set tires trued etc.
Where does a RevoSlot have bushings?? Unless you're aligning the bushings in the motor

I made the edit to read bearings. It’s a habit sorry. But......will it run better on a bronze bushing? Hmmm

        • #12
Maybe they put in wheel bushings in, instead of the bearing. The rules say free choice.

            My Supra Pumpkin...
I have a question on the tracks... Is there going to be an issue with guide depth on some venues? asking for a friend. The Revo's come with 2 different guides, 7mm and 9mm.

I’m running the 9mm guide filed down to a point where it just bottoms out on my Scalextric track. That way it will fit deeper in the slot than 7mm. Canadian track owners who may have a Revo or 2 let’s us know. My next Revo will be a Supra then I’m really done.

          • #15
Going to run the 7mm just in case. Saw a post on the Can-Am proxy that a few tracks would be an issue with deeper guides.
