Updating topic titles ??

If I start a topic, can I go back later and alter the title ???........eg. I am doing an ongoing build, and want to add "updated" or "new update" to the original topic title as progress is made.

FYI - We've made a change that should allow the topic starter to edit the topic title with no time constraints.
