  • Login and post response time allotment

I've had some login and post response timing out issues on a couple of occasions here with the new board, I sometimes take a while to format a response. Just this morning I had a good response going and started getting popup error windows, seemed to be related to login timing. Usually I know to copy what I have started and then paste if I need to re-login but this morning I missed it and lost the whole damn reply so I gave up in frustration. Is there anything that can be done to address or modify this reply time issue?

I have it set an 60 minutes already sir, PLUS there is an AUTO SAVE feature installed. It will auto save what you have typed at around a 20 second interval.

I just did it here. A yellow box appears that alerts you that it has been saved. After that, I left this post and came back.

This is what I see when I cam back to the post:

Click image for larger version Name:	Untitledautosave1.jpg Views:	0 Size:	28.0 KB ID:	12313

I hit restore and all the text came back and I continued this post.

But I will check with the host and see if there are any issues.

      Apologies for the SNAFU.

Thanks for the reply Harry. I'm getting a window no more than 10-15 minutes into a post and I get logged out. Maybe something on my end. I've seen the auto save feature flash quickly but never knew about the restore feature. Maybe I'll try again it someday.

Definitely go back to the thread you were gonna post on and go to the 'Write something' box and the restore option should be there. Click on it and everything you typed should be there so you can continue.

I've done this and resumed a post I'd forgotten about. It's a very nice feature.
