Pioneer Legends - Here they come

Just the official word from Jules at Pioneer:

The green flag has waved for the Legends racers! These brand new models will add a completely new type of scale model race car to slot tracks around the world. These are the introductory releases to our highly anticipated ‘Legends Series’. Inspired by the vibrant, spirited and speedy cars raced all over the world, this collection will be endless fun and full of character. Thank you to everyone who wished us well and to those who sent us such positivity and support in the journey to bring the Legends to market. We’re proud of this achievement and we hope you enjoy them. Take them along to your race clubs and share your track photos with us so that we can see the cars in action. Jules asked me some time ago to stop pushing the Legends Races. I backed off as requested.
I can't wait to get these on the track. I'm sure the kids will demand to race them.
When you get them let me know. I've been on several lists over the years.

Do we know if the retailers who support this site will be carrying the Legend's and after tire vendors who will have after market tires?

I see a whole fleet of these if their "smile factor" is strong on Dundee Speedway!!!

I know very little about cars that race in ovals, my preference is for race tracks with corners that turn both left and right, but be that as it may, I have huge appreciation for the big step Pioneer took in releasing a completely new category model into the slot car world.

Based on all the threads and posts on this forum and others, I thought for sure the release (finally) of these cars will break the internet, or at least break HRW! I am somewhat surprised we are still only on page one of this thread.

Congratulations Pioneer on such a brave move, the cars look fantastic!

Thanks for the positive comments Chris.

Incidentally, those Legends cars don't do the roundy round circuits in any other place apart from the US. I've been to a number of races where the Legends series were racing in the UK. I can tell you that watching them screaming down the Cramer curves and down into the Old Hairpin at Donington Park is amazing.

Sorry Jules that event does not ring a bell, BUT '93 Senna lap 1 in the rain...WOW - and not sure of the year - but Mansell in the Mondeo (BTCC) big accident. Also, many years ago the few hours I spent at the museum is a great memory - Donnington "the home of British Motorsport"! Great track
