Dave, is the James Bond car going to have the operable ejection seat and operable bullet shield ?

No. The specs for whatever the functions were for the Bond car for the new movie weren't available to Scalextric to do any changes long enough ahead of time. This came up last year when I was there in December and we'd been told during the annual sales meeting at the Hornby HQ about the lack of time for changes. Now that the movie was delayed because of Covid there would have been time but the car would have gone into production too far ahead anyway. So it was more of a timing issue than anything. -
This was what I was told... now if there was some change after I left I wouldn't know. I could ask the folks at the HQ but I won't hear back until next week. And the cars would be in the market by then maybe, I'm not sure. I was offered my choice of recent releases of Scalextric cars to review but they've not shipped yet I guess... who knows.
