I thought I had seen Mosquitos until a visit to Minnesota on a Spring Turkey hunt. When I got off the plane, there were airport shops that had tee shirts with them as their State Bird. Laughed out loud about it! But then when I got in the Turkey woods, holy cow, they were like birds, dang near got carried off!

Living in a place where the mosquitoes are big and aggressive will definitely discourage you from going outside in the evening. The night shift reports for work starting about 6 pm and often drive me inside. A big fan on the deck works wonders - knocks them off their flight path as they are making a bombing run.

WER, I had the mosquito as state bird T-shirt from Minnesota after a summer fishing trip years ago.
