  • Slot cars controlled by your brain revealed at CES!

Attendees at the technology event - held in Las Vegas in the US - wore headbands based on medical brain-scanning tech to race model cars about a track.

What do you guys think? I assume it is more a proof of concept about the technology of reading your brain, than a marketable slot car product. I would think there would other applications that would be more profitable, but this is a very visual and fun way to showcase the tech.

For the last ten years or so I've been following this tech. There is another lab working to use this tech to get people in wheelchairs walking. So far they only test with paraplegics but hopefully it trickles down to Quads after a bit.

My thoughts exactly (and it took awhile for me to think of this...)

Smoked way to much weed in my early days for that to work on me. The 70's and early 80's are just fuzzy smoked filled haze for me.
THE other Vancouver aka Vancouver Washington across the river from keep Portland weird....

......but I am sure you know the words to some great songs, and can entertain a crowd with your stories! (assuming you can remember!)

Guys, guys. What we are admitting to here could get us an early wheelchair ride to the sunny hostel; a blanket over our knees, and spoon fed slops.... lets hope the youth police/millenials don't stumble upon this thread.

But yes F1Fan, I've seen the tech - they're doing it in our specialist spinal unit here in my country too.

Aren't all slot cars controlled by your brain??? They just have an advanced version of wireless controllers.
I'll take one of those to control my lawn tractor, but I'd fall asleep and mow over the dog, hate when that happens.

This is an interesting project and it might be related to (or be an extension of) another mind control experiment involving Carrera cars and track that I have seen previously. Would be a bit too much of a co-incidence to be unrelated one would think?

b.yingling you might find this interesting if you have not already seen it.

My wife rescued a macaw formerly owned by a quad in a voice activated chair. The bird learned the word “left” and used it frequently. I’ll stay with the joystick thank you..... and no mind control slot cars please.

My car would be all over the place if it operated based on my concentration level. Go fast, go slow, did I feed the dog? (Crash)

Mind control technology would bring a whole new set of implications to the occasional brain fart that I am prone to do......
