Bummer, I missed this by a week. We just stayed at the KOA off the same exit last weekend. Do they do this more than once a year, I'll have to try and make the next one.Jamie B

We had a decent show yesterday. Good to see the local slot guys that came out. I'm always surprised at how many local guys don't show up, our local track (3 miles away) doesn't even get a table to advertise their track. The show was mostly Hotwheels, Models, HO cars, 1/32 cars and some 1/24 cars, in that order. Rich stopped by to pick up some parts and talk slots. It was a good day for all. I did sell an Eldon 1/24 set that was really nice and had maybe never been used. Such a big box that ebay and shipping wouldn't have been desireable. I still have about 120 feet of 1/24 Eldon, but I am making some space by selling what I don't need. Here's a sample of the show.

I see Brad Blohm made it down from Detroit, and one of the tables look like it belongs to Justin DiRizio.
It seems like the one thing missing from slot car shows is a slot car track. If nothing else, a small 1/32 oval with an HO oval inside that would at least serve to try out a purchase.

I get 4 tables every year, 2 for me and 2 for Brad. We have been swapping and doing slots since the 1980's. Justin is a regular and fills up a bunch of tables.
No track this year, but in years past we had a track. One of the guys I race with has an oval built on a trailer. It is made from plastic sheets and the trailer has a lid that raises up to expose it. He takes it to car shows and car races to expose kids to slot cars. I may have a picture.Matt B
