  • Scalextric ‘69 Dodge Charger

Ok guys, this is an amateur review. I didn’t see one on this car and while I had it opened up I figured I would share what I see. I’ve only run it a short time on a mini oval, it ran fine like any other new Scalextric. Upon opening the chassis up I noticed a few things. The body to chassis fit is tight, good if you like a tight fit, not so much if you like a loose body. The interior is also screwed to the chassis adding to the stiffness. It has a single bar magnet with two locations. Motor is sidewinder. The rear axel has nylon bushings, front axel has no separate bushings just molded in bushings and a solid axel. Head and tail items are also wired in. Overall it’s a neat fun car, if fast guys want more speed put of it some work is in store. As for the the exterior the finish is nice but the blower looks to big, I googled some pictures and the fast and furious car does have a rather huge blower but I still think it would look better a bit smaller. That’s all this new guy can see, hope you enjoyed it.

Great job Michael I said it before in another thread, but I will repeat... I really like that purple and white paint

Thanks, I like it too, purple is one of my favorite Mopar colors. I forgot to mention the “vinyl” top is painted in a satin finish so it looks a bit more realistic.

That color was called "Plum Crazy". Goes along with "Sub-Lime" and several others.

good car, I pulled the blower off and swapped wheels. I think it looks better even with the hole there

Good looking car! And I am not even a MOPAR guy...
And thank you for the review!
Why doesn't my car run like that?

Great review. I'm a sucker for any American muscle car.
