I have been patiently waiting for this car to come out and your review. It is a cool shape and hopefully we can get this on in a proxy race. Not sure what proxy it would fit in?
    Congrats on your worldwide notoriety.

That's a pretty sharp looking car. Not sure what is going on with the cowbell.

Looking forward to someone doing a comparison between the new Carrera Mustangs and the new Scalextric Mustangs recently in at SCC.

We know it's best to race kind against kind, but a larger all Mustang class could be fun too.

I have the Scalextric here for review. I guess I can compare the times...but it will be non mag on wood.

Can tell you now, although the Carrera is a heavy beast, at least it is low and wide.

Unlike the Scalextric...narrow, and just too high box stock.

          Working it now...

Not sure they are even. The lighter scaly and more punchy motor against the heavier carrera with soft motor. It will be intresting to see a comparason.

Uneven cars can still be raced competitively with each other if they are tuned accordingly or assigned offsets. I'd never slow down a faster car but a slower car might be able to be tuned to close the gap. Sometimes it can be as easy as putting new aftermarket tires on the slower car while leaving stock tires on the faster car. I've done this for racing Slot.It Can Am cars against Fly classics.

By offset I mean delaying the start of a faster car or lessening the number of laps a slower car has to go. Done well it can mean each car has to be driven to it's own maximum potential to come out on top. No one cares if the start of a race is close if the end is. And what's better than a good comeback?

Question Harry. Are the spoilers interchangeable? Meaning are the body slots in the same spot where you could put the bigger spoiler on your car?

                        Another great video!

I don't want to highjack the thread, but I have just received both versions of the GTY Mustangs and they are fantastic looking cars......100mph cars, just standing still!

I want to sell the #55 (new) car, please PM me if you are interested. (shipping from BC, Canada)

                          HRW branding!

I always thought slot cars could have more hobby specific slot car sponsor type decals –

                          – Like decals reflecting slot car parts and slot car manufacturers rather than full-size real-world car parts and manufacturers.

This of course would best work on cars that are not specific replicas or real-world racers.

                          Congrats on the HRW recognition.

                            The #17 is pretty cool.
Since I don’t have one of these yet, a picture of Scalextric’s ‘69 Mustangs alongside this would be neat: #15, #16, and #17. All Mustangs. All same paint scheme.
