  • Lowboy Trailer With Dolly [Finished 6/14]

I had bought this cheapy 1/87 truck and trailer years ago with the intent to modify the trailer for the AFX slot trucks. I scratchbuilt the rear axle assembly so it could pivot around the corners of the track like the AFX and Tyco trailers. T-Jet guide pins were added to the assembly also. Works really well! It dose take up some space in other lanes in the corners. I still have to cut the rear pivot pin down and paint the rear axle assembly.

How fun to watch your truck and trailer tool around the speedway!!!

Picture of the truck and rig would have done the job to show how cool it is in motion!

        Excellent creativity there!!!

Nice work, Jeff. Very creative, as always. I'll bet that's a hoot to run on your track!

I finally finished the trailer up! I painted some running lights and added some decals. The load is a EMD locomotive engine by Walthers. It goes with all the trains taking over the track table! I used some thread to simulate some hold downs for the load. Thanks for the comments and for looking!
