  • AFX track width

My sister picked up an AFX set at a thrift shop, but it had no supports to lift the track.

No problem....I can print those.....got the file off Thingiverse.

Except it's not scaled correctly, and I don't know how wide the track is, so I don't know how wide I need to make the supports.4

    Help?

My Aurora/Tomy track is about 75.5mm wide, 7.5mm thick.

P.S. Did it come with any cars?

Is it an original A/FX set in which the track clicks together sideways, or a TOMY AFX set in which the track clicks directly into one another? Either way, they should be about 3" wide and 1/4" thick at the edges. You can find cheap AFX bridge supports for sale in many places instead of going through the trouble of printing them.
PM me for another suggestion. -- Ernie

Yes, I told her books would work just fine.

I don't know what she was thinking but I have them running now so it's all good.

My personal favourite method of supporting plastic track, when I need something quick and temporary... (shown here being used on Ninco track)

And, it offers almost infinite configuration possibilities.
