    Asked;
Is the AP Corvette considered a muscle car? Some AFX bodies flop when you accelerate or decelerate. Can a stop be added to the body to prevent this?

Yes the Corvettes are good. Can add the stop to prevent body flop

      Good straight forward rules.
Couple questions though, what type of rear tires will be allowed?
What if any approved reproduction wheels, maybe Road Race Replicas?
And also what crown gears will be allowed?

GEARS item number 2 specifies Stock crown gears. Rear tires are not discussed.

See crown gears rule now, must have been added in, good.
And the stock crown is 15 tooth.

RRR wheels are a good choice too.

            REAR tires?
A spec tire for everyone would be good.
Super Tires, Gel Claws, or ?

Austin, do you have any idea on race date yet?

any lowering of body allowed in Mag Trak class?

can we mix/match parts ,pick ups, magnets, arms ect... between the 2 brands?

are the AW Ultra G chassis ok to use if we delete the rear button magnet?

Austin - had some questions related to the rules noted above for the magnatraction / X-traction class.
                          Thanks!

                          1) Bodies: With allowing lowering/modification of body mounts (beyond repair to eliminate rocking) - the following questions came up:
                          - is lightening of bodies allowed (beyond removal of glass noted)
                          - Is lowering of the roof allowed?
                          - Is modification of the wheel openings allowed?
                          - Is adding of material, weight to the body (side pipes, etc) allowed?
(I am personally not a fan of allowing lowering/lightening/modification of the bodies - but wanted to clarify the above if we are going that direction)

                          2) Are resin bodies allowed or only injection molded plastic bodies?

                          3) The rules state "Only stock Magnatraction or X-Traction front rims are allowed." - can this be expanded to allow Vincent / RRR / DASH / etc wheels as well (basically no double flange, delrin, brass, etc) similar to the rule for the rear? A lot of cool looking options from the visual side of things.

                          4) The rules state "4. Chassis cannot be cut, sanded or drilled in any way except to remove excessive mold sprue or to loosen a tight shaft hole." - can this be amended to allow removal of the flange for the button traction magnet (similar to the t-jet rules)?

                          5) Pick up shoes - it mentions X-traction "ski" shoe replacements - I am not sure I have seen anything but a standard step shoe in an X-traction replacement? (I caution regarding allowing ski-shoes as a 90 degree spin can result in a dead short across the rails)

                          6) On the bending of shoes "6. Pick up shoes may be bent to allow better surface contact with the rails or to restrict Autoworld parts or aftermarket replacements." does this mean that the travel of the shoe can be restricted in addition to insuring a solid contact patch with the rail?

                          7) With no spec rear tire noted - is there a min rear tire diameter requirement - or wide open?

Sorry for all the questions - but wanted to throw these out there for the group as I would imagine others may have the same questions.

                          Thanks!

New in Box. Number ok? And I am glad that the Grand National Buick will be allowed. Might be the overall sleeper. I just hope this does not devolve into a Camaro IROC series.
                            Scott

And by the way (hope I don't step on any toes here) here are examples of car bodies not allowed AFAIK.
                            From left to right:

Porsche 911 Turbo (Besides the fact it is a Rokar body on a LL chassis) , still a Porsche
Nissan 300 ZX (I know it says AFX right there on the nose, sorry)
Ford GT40 (Real Race car, NOT Muscle car.)
1957 Chevy Nomad (Muscle car, but too old) (Yes, that one is Aurora)
Mitsusquishi Eclipse (Fast & Furious, not today)
Lamborghini Countach (Not a Ferrari, but that isn't allowed either)

Why doesn't my car run like that?

Ok, before I start, these bodys are legal to use?
and I can lower the body as long as it still connects to the chassis in the same manner as intended. "snaps to the side mounts of the chassis"
