  • Ford GT 40 7 Litre

Here is one my father made back in the late 1960's maybe early 1970's. It is not made from a Aurora T-Jet, but from a plastic kit. My dad can't remember the manufactures name. He lengthen the front end and added the fins and spoilers. He also modified the rear end. It has some nice patina on it nowadays. I cleaned up a original T-Jet chassis and added some fresh tires. Still a great running car.

Cool to have on of your Dad's builds, and even more FUN to be able to race it around once more!
He may have used a Mini Lindy FORD GT HO model kit by Lindberg. They became available in the 1960s, and I still have one unopened in my collection.
Thanks for sharing the photos, and... Enjoy! -- Ernie

What I wouldn't give to have some of my dad's T-jets from the 60's. My dad has passed away but as he aged, he couldn't remember what was said to him 5 minutes ago but when I produced a pinewood derby car we built together in 1969, he could remember how many coats of lacquer he put on it. Thanks for sharing... and don't let that car get away from you.

Thanks for looking. Ernie, you may be right on the Linberg. My dad said it was made in Japan.
