    The second chassis is a T-jet. A grey tipped copper wind, with a nine tooth pinion/crown. Note the prominent outside shoulder on the crown. Along with the silver electrical upgrade, brush guide inserts were added.

    Modifications of the era. I'd say the owner got his feet wet on the electrical change, then went full "bore" (pun intended), and executed what looks to be a pretty nice Brush tube mod.

    What do the motor's commutator deck look like? Scorched or burned? If the comm pit has been toasted, the guide mod might also have been part of a reclamation project.
