Any slot car racers in the augusta georgia area???????

This is my first post here.i have been lurking quite awhile .......

Some of you may remember me 10 years or so ago from hobbytalk,where i was once quite active.
I went by the name Mike(^RacerX^) over there.......

I just moved from SE NY/North NJ after a lifetime(58 years) to just outside of augusta GA.i dropped off the rader about ten years ago after a move that resulted in me loosing the track i took 5 years to build.lost about 90% of all of my slot cars as well.I actually wept when i figured it out it was all gone.
Fortunately,i still have all of my parma econo controllers,a a big pile of chassis that i can turn into a lot of slot cars.
Now I am in a living situation where i can build a track as big as i want.I am hoping to do a 20 foot routed track this time out.regardless of whether or not its routed,its going to be pretty big.
I have been making some posts here and there to see if there are any HO slot racers near by,but have not had much luck.
I figured i would post here and try my luck.

looks like all the action is out west towards atlanta.about a 2 hour ride.

im a little south of the city right below hephzibah if you know where that is.

I spent the first 57 years of my life in SE NY and northern NJ.its quite different here.i like it.

I did have my car when I was stationed at Fort Gordon, but I did not get around the area very much. I do remember Hephzibah however. If you contact Jeff Stillwell he may know of someone closer to you.

Yes, there is a good group of guys in Atlanta about two hours west of you. We (SCANC) have been racing with them twice a year for the past eight years. We’re in Winston-Salem, about 4 hours north of you. I was born in Brooklyn and grew up on Long Island. Left there in ‘79 when I joined the Marines. Maybe you can join us next time we get together with the guys from Atlanta. That will probably be sometime in April.
