HO Trans Am Proxy Race #10 - JAS Raceway Park - Race Results Posted

Race #10 is scheduled for Monday, November 22 at JAS Raceway Park - Fitchburg MA. Qualifying and race will take place on the 8' x 2-1/2' Tomy 4 lane oval.
Drivers to be Austin and Norman. Marshal and race coordinator will be johns67373.

Qualifying is in the books!

Qualifying was performed using a ten lap dash in gutter "yellow" lane with the best lap determining position.

Johns67373 performed qualifying duties.
Austin and Norman took care of pictures, car rotations and scribe duties. BIG thanks to them for their participation and support!

All cars had their pick up shoes cleaned and tires were cleaned using masking tape prior to the qualifying efforts. Qualifying order was based on randomized order.

First Off, Happy Thanksgiving to all and your families! I hope you have a safe and Happy holiday.

There were 58 total heats, with cars being run on the gutter "Yellow" lane and not so fast "White" lane.
Heats were 2 minutes each.
Austin started the race driving on the yellow lane and Norman on the white lane.
After heat 29 was completed, each driver changed lanes; Austin on the white lane and Norman on the yellow lane. Then, each set of cars were run in the same order as the first 29 heats.
Since the marshalling staff were off vacationing, johns67373 was in command of the track call button and was kept pretty busy throughout the race.

At the end, it was Aronn Palmer's #41 Mercury Cougar that took 1st place with an impressive 3 lap advantage.
2nd place was Mark Thomas' #2 Dodge Daytona and rounding out the podium finishers was Russell May's Buick GSX!

Congratulations to the race winner and podium finishers!

And since this was my first ever Proxy event, I want to thank the organizer Austin and Event Coordinator Todd for their efforts. The race results were informative and PICTURES were outstanding! Thanks again gentlemen! Well done!

And last but not least, either Todd or Austin will post the final Proxy results once all the points totals are calculated.

Amazing how close all 29 of these cars were to each other.
