  • "HO" 1966 Lola T-90

My sons and I have been busy getting ready for 3D test-prints on our monocoque (chassis-less) 1966 Lola T-90. She's been in the works for a while now. But will hopefully soon be joining our Lotus 33 model on the track! Here's a few screenshots of the work to date.

That looks interesting! What is going to power it?
Why doesn't my car run like that?

Same N20 motor that powers my Lotus 33. Dave Wonacott uses the new replacement N20 motors (reportedly faster than the AFX motors) that are available from JAG Hobbies now. I'll be testing custom printed wheels and tires. But may also be fitted with standard HO wheelsets. Like my Lotus 33 body, it is chassis-less. The motor and other bits fit directly into the body, which enables me to make them proportionately accurate - unlike the distorted styles needed to stretch over conventional chassis.

Here's some pics of the Lotus 33 bodies as Dave W. builds them. And they are FAST!

Wow.... That car really scoots along! Just motor magnets holding it to the track or are their additional magnets at work here?

And what might be more important, where can I buy these?

Thanks Scott... there are two neodymium traction magnets just in front of the rear axle. Mounted to little outriggers. I prefer to paint them flat black so they disappear against the track.

Dave Wonacott is my value added reseller who sells the cars as a complete kit with all parts and motor included, or as a fully built and painted ready-to-run car. He'll also be selling the Lola T-90 as soon as its available. You'll find him on most of the major HO slot car groups on Facebook. Or if you're interested, I can send you his contact info.

Those are a nice team of Lotus, well done!

If someone isn't a facebook person how would you acquire a kit of the Lotus or the upcoming Lola?

I can message you Dave Wonacott's contact info if you're interested. My other bodies that fit conventional chassis I list on eBay - (Chapparal 2H/MegaG+, C-Cab Trucks/T-Jet, 427 Roadster/MegaG+, and several others).
