  • Heller F1 cars

    Converted these Heller 1/43 models to slot cars with small minebea motor and pfuetze's printed guide and wheels.

    Nigel Mansell



    Ayrton Senna

























    Used brass tube as bearing and 2mm axles.

        Nice Aki. I did a bunch of Indy cars with pretty much the same set up. The little Mineabea is more then capable of propelling these cars at a good speed.

        They look fantastic, and represent a real golden age of F1.

                Thanks all !

                They drive nicely, McLaren was built earlier as a test that could something like this be done.
                I was a bit skeptical before I started building but it turned out so good that I decided to built the others as well.

                Low COG, wideness and good grip from big Ortmann PU tires makes them run great,
                just got to true the tires really carefully.

                Yes Peter, 8/15 gearing and the motor is rated 14 700 @ 9V .
                Top speed could be better but using 10V is pretty good at my track.
