Looking for some current sources for wheels and tires for 1/43 cars. Primarily Carrera Go and SCX. Most of the sources I knew previously are no longer available.

www.slotcarstyres.com has urethane tires for Carrera Go! rally cars. Not sure what else they would fit.
I got tires from him for Kyosho DSlot cars; worked great.Comment

Jel Claws had tires for 1/43rd cars, those are EPDM, not silicone or urethane. The Jel Claws site has gone dead, but there are still tires listed on eBay for 1/43rd scale SCX and Carrera cars.Comment

This was exactly what I was looking for. Some new sources of tires and wheels. I thought I had seen some custom rims on one of Pfuetze's post but wasn't sure where to find it. All that I was aware of are Super Tires for SCX NASCAR, a few JelClaws and a brand called Ortman with look pretty rough in the photos.Comment

Really liking the looks of Pfuetze’s 3D wheels! Quite a variety of sizes and the Nomad inserts are awesome. A couple of questions come to mind: Will the Nomad inserts fit the 3D SCX NASCAR wheels? How do you source tires for the various sizes?Comment

i can make the Nomad inserts fit to the SCX Nascar wheels, no problem!
Carsten in Germany did a selection of tires, partly especially for my wheels, the 11.5 x 7 comes with low profile comes to my mind, also the 10x7 was a special size in low profile.
for the other sizes - Ortmann is doing great tires in 10mm with 6, 8 and 10mm width.
They can be fitted to 10mm and 11mm wheels easily. They need to be glued on, but this is easy on the printed wheels. the 11.5 and 12mm can be fitted with the 10mm tires, too, but they are a little stretched (i do not like that), but still work great. you can get the ortmann tires from ebay.
I paint the printed wheels with Revell color in silver and brush, but i have seen airbrush painting the wheels, too.
SCX compact tires - Ortmann makes special tires for some SCX cars and Carrera go! cars.
They fit also on the printed wheels.
for small projects, there is an Ortmann tire with 9x13x7mm
for wheel inserts - it is way cheaper to combine wheel insert before printing. i need to know your wishes, than i do the combining and make a one piece print for you on shapeways. there should be some examples already available under the "wheel insert" section of the shop.

The SCX NASCAR wheels with the Nomad inserts built in sounds like a great place to start! I think I would like to get a batch of those. How many wheels come in a batch and what would the cost be?Comment

Do they provide a way to get the discount by combining inserts with the wheels, like you recommended? The only Nomad inserts I saw looked like they were too big for the SCX NASCAR wheelsComment
