I had such good luck with the 356 diecast, I decided to try slotting another diecast. This time a Mercedes Benz W196 is the subject.
I got my dremel out and used it to grind away all things that were not needed inside the body which included a large center post. I fashioned a chassis out of Brass and Lego and set a BARC square can inline,
Used scale model wire wheels that were converted for use for a slot car utilizing spur gears at each wheel to act as an axle hub.
Added the driver and it was a finished product. This is a good runner, with it low stance the car is stable and fun to drive. Can't even tell it is a diecast when running it on the track
