Starting with a built model that was $10 at a model show about 5 years ago. A friend bought a few bodies and had an interior he didn't need, that he sent me. A chassis turned up in a lot of stuff that I bought to get a beat up Testors Lola T90 that I hoped I could restore a bit. The Corvair came out nice and I was happy the 1/24 Testors Lola came as good as it did. The Lola is pretty hard to find car from the end of the slot car boom. I had previously made up the Lola decals, so I had the artwork to make new stick on vinyl.

Matt,
Great looking builds, for sure! I like the Corvair of course, but that Lola is a nice piece for sure.Come Race at The Trace!

Obviously they never raced a green Lola, but in 67 reality and slot cars were a long way apart. It's really a lime green metallic, kind of like the old Stingray bikes. Hard to get a picture of the true color. I'm partial to green and that was what made it something I was trying to find.
The Corvair is just a nice stock issue, but it has EJ's tires and wheels. I'm partial to it, because it was the car I shared with my dad in 67/68. He had a mist green metallic 65 Corsa, maybe it was just the 110 model. It was the 110 hp 4 spd. I really liked that car and the styling.Matt B
