  • Just Another Random HQ build

Bossman did some digging and found a few old pro track chassis from a dear friend of his that passed to the track in the sky. He tasked us with giving these chassis a new life. So i began to search for a model that caught my eye and a 41 chev pickup was it. Started last night and here is it sits as i type this out.

About 90% done. Paint is a bit tacky so im at a stand still now. Just need to mount body to chassis, sand rear wheels down, paint one insert, glue inserts and wire the motor and she will be a runner.

Really cool. The wood bed and rear bumper are great.
What is the diamond plate on the bumper from?
And did you build this in one day?

The diamond plate is made by Plastruct or JTT. I just buy them a few sheets at a time. EXAMPLE LINK

Yes, basically in a day he was finished.

Thanks for the link Harry. I thought Bob Taylor was the only person capable of cranking cars out that quick.
I really need to rethink my work ethic.
