I bought an LCG chassis and I'm going to convert this back to a truck. Bashing around my yard for the time being seems like a better choice than going to race with others. It's too bad RC proxies are not really very doable...Go fast, turn left. Now in tiny HO size..
Thanks,
Rick

Years ago I bought an RC kit and mounted a dirt modified body on it to goof around with but never found a good use for it. When I'd travel from NY down to PA to attend races at Big Diamond, Grandview, and Penn National I'd go past a place that had an RC dirt oval outside, but I never actually saw any cars racing on it. Now I have no idea whatever happened with that car.
Thankfully now that I'm in Maine and don't get to the races very much I do have a 1:32 scale oval and many replica modified cars to feed my passion for that type of racing..

Where in Maine do you reside? I grew up in Freeport & starteed slot racing in Brunswick, but moved out of state in 1969. I'm now living about 12 mi. west of Manchester, NH.

Central Maine, north of Augusta and Waterville. Beautiful in the summer, and great place to goof around with slot cars in the winter. Used to go to Unity Speedway pretty regularly, but they stopped being open weekly so I never know when there's a race. I hear there's some good asphalt racing in southern Maine, but don't get down that way often. As a dirt race fan when I needed a fix I'd drive 6 hrs to NY and go to Albany-Saratoga or Lebanon Valley Speedways.
