  • The Slot Bus

I picked this one up on Ebay years ago . It was listed under vintage toys and not slot cars I ended up being the only bidder and picked it up affordably.. Some of the long time forum members will remember it from the old post. I figured I would post it up again. Anyway it is a old tin toy bus converted to a slot bus. Looks to have been built back in the 60's. It is pretty close to 1/32 scale. A old member of the forum molded up a set of replacement tires, but I only have replaced the drive wheels. The front axle steers and pivots. It has a driver in a seat with a spring attached to the base so the driver bops around as the bus moves along. A fun and cantankerous vehicle to run around the track!

I to remember this from the first time around. That is just super cool.
I remember a couple times my mom putting me on a Greyhound by myself to go visit family when I was around 8 or 10 years old, and asking the driver to keep an eye on me. Boy how times have changed
Those were great trips and memories. Thanks Mom. Sure made me feel grown up.
                Thanks for reposting this,
                Randy
