Picked this up a while back.
Somebody painted and decaled it ages ago.
I decided to just put a new chassis under it.
EJS repop , just need to lower/space the guide to keep it in the slot better. (See front picture.)

Nice blast from the past.

I remember having that Galaxie body. Think I got a set one Christmas that had 2 chassis and 4 bodies. Of course. after no time at all my cars had no glass or roofs and the drivers were headless. Wish they'd molded the roof as part of the body and not the windows.

Those Strommy cars and track made me the slothead I am today.

That big green FORD looks like a larger version of my Aurora '62 Galaxie body on a modified T-Jet chassis!
Mine's tan, black roof, with a big 1/24 Russkit white #62 on the top and some other sponsor logos.
Just picked up another 'Aurora '62 Galaxie body this past weekend while vending at the big slot car show in White Marsh (Baltimore) MD. This one is also destined for the stock car thing, white body with black roof. Haven't decided on the decal scheme yet.
Harry tells me posting photos is much easier now, so I hope after all these years to be able to finally show some of my racers.
