  • RACE #1- AL'S RIPPIN' RIDIN' RACEWAY.

Alright guys, my plan is to get the cars to Al during our club race this Thursday. The hope is he can qualify them next week and race the week after.

I just finished my car, and am looking forward to getting these beauties out of their boxes!

Alright guys the cars were dropped off to Al's last night. The tentative plan is go over and qualify the cars Monday night!

As per the other proxy I will do my best to give good notes on the cars, being this is the first round.

Al's track is very well built, with a little bit of everything. Tight hairpins, chicanes, a big sweeper, and some elevation change. I have found it to be a great test of all around car performance!

It is qualifying day! I will be heading over to the track around 5pm PST to get the cars prepped and ready to go.

I will be taking some notes at the same time, and hopefully snapping some pics!

We also have special guest Dale (Aloha) dropping in to check out the field and install some compliant tires on his car before qualifying. Now THAT is commitment!

It was great to have Aloha (Dale) in the house for the qualifying session, he helps us out marshalling some cars and keeping things going! We will have a small break before the race, Al's wife is going in for a hip replacement tomorrow. We are shooting to complete the race next week!

Thanks for the quick work in getting qualifying done. Looks like the GT's are as quick as they say. Wishing Al's wife a good surgery and a swift recovery!

Thanks for the qualification round. Looks like it is going to be a fun one. If that TQ time continues to hold up as this proxy continues it may be a race for 2nd.

Good luck to Al's wife on a successful surgery.

Great looking field. You mean I have to push through all that trafficPraying for Al's wife's successful surgery and speedy recovery. Zach, Chris and Dale congratulations on the podium finishes for qualifying. Hope my Italian Stallion can race to the top. So the German car is still tippy. I feared that might be the case.

Thanks for qualifying the cars and posting the results Zack. Any chance of putting the car "type" as another column in the spreadsheet if you have time at some point. It appears my GT40 is in the lower part of my group...

Looks like the BARC entry has last place nailed down . ...... again . Team seems to be very comfortable with that honour

Thanks for the run and the results posting.
