  • Quick Slicks Proxy 2020: Car Returns

Good afternoon gents. I'm asking for another week to start packing things up. I'm in contact with our sponsor(s) to see what we can come up with.

I believe I have most addresses on the incoming boxes. I'll be in touch with those of you that I can't figure out.

Thanks for your ongoing patience as we've worked through this first year of the Quick Slicks Proxy!

          Gents,
Had a small snafu this past weekend and ended up not getting the prizes in hand to ship back. The good news is, there are prized to come including Predator Motors that will be distributed to all participants. 18,000k to the BTCC group and the 22,500k ball bearing to the DTM group. I will have everything in hand by next Monday and start posting returns then.

I know the cars were very fun and competitive with he current motor list. I'm personally conflicted, as I very much appreciate the support from Quick Slicks, Slot Car Corner and Clover Leaf Racing. I will strongly encourage any current or new participants looking for cars (the new Nissan Skyline will be DTM eligible) and parts to shop their websites. However, I don't want to be another proxy that is pushing to go faster and faster and faster... I want to keep this fun and as competitive as we can top to bottom. With learning curve already present for many racers to get accustomed to Quick Slicks silicone I'm not sure I want to start adding more variables...

With that said, I will be working on rules for the 2021 season this week. Would everyone be on board with increasing the DTM motor max RPM to 23,000k?

          Thoughts?

thanks cory for hooking us up with those great gifts. 23k is fine with me or just turn the track power up.So maybe a stock gt,gt3 type car with the same rules but motor can be swapped with the 18k predator. just a thought, thanks again and no rush on the return.

thanks Cory for organizing everything, especially getting that rear axle sorted to some degree. Thanks to the sponsors for prizes, much appreciated. Don't forget my wheels when you package up the car, it's been a long wait

Since the consensus from all the track hosts was that these cars were a joy to drive, a departure from the need for speed types. My two cents would be to leave them as is.
