Cornerstone Raceway has finally re-opened after a long shut down due to the COVID pandemic. The last race was in February of 2020 and in mid-March the track employees were furloughed, with basic benefits though!
I was glad to see some of the officials that worked my track working races at Amoskeag North Race Park. That checkered flag official has worked many a race in his day.
The track staff have been busy preparing the course so the cars will be able get track time for testing. There will be a minimal crowd on hand for qualifying and the races, social distancing, and masks will be required throughout the race weekends.
There is certainly a buzz in the air as qualifying day nears!

      Welcome to Cornerstone Raceway!

      Home to the NERF Club
      Est. 2005
      4 lanes, copper tape, 20' x 7':
      • Green:83 feet
      • Yellow: 80.5 feet
      • Blue: 78 feet
      • Red: 75.25 feet
Track Voltage: 10V Pyramid PS26KX Variable supply
      Race Software: Race Coordinator

Transports started arriving last night in the snow! Rest assured all of the cars arrived safe and sound! The track will be ready for qualifying starting this Saturday January 30th! Until then the crews will be hard at work preparing their cars (BTW, I'm NOT touching the cars!) for this technical but smooth driving road course. Good luck to everyone!

Well it was Qualifying and race day for the BTCC class. It was a long day but a fun one! I think, as is typical of any track, the turns and corners proved to either make or break a cars time. Most of these cars were not able to pick up laps in the RED lane which is the shortest, but also most technical.

The top two cars were very close in performance! And look at 5,6 & 7! Wow! Close racing! Next up the modified class!

Wow, tight racing in the BTCC race. Will be interesting to see how the DTM’s fair...my guess is it will be close as well.

Thanks Bob. Man my little VW is struggling in this proxy. Just continues to go backwards. Congratulations to Dale, Robert and Billy.

Congrats Dale on your win in BTCC class ( adding to a TQ in GT3), super effort. Well done to Rel and Billyboy on your podiums, some really close racing. Apart from Arroldn and myself being a bit off the pace, the rest of the field is really close.

Here are the Qualifying results from the Modified class. All these cars basically ran well, just some more well-er than others ! duh!

One general comment: Guides, be careful of length and depth! I suggest a setup block like SCC (shameless plug!) sells that has a guide depth gauge!
