Thanks for your patience, BTCC and DTM racers.

The cars arrived here on the 8th, both the shipping box and the cars look my fine and we’ll be running the Qualification late next week, with the race on Saturday, April 23rd.

We’ll be streaming the race to my FaceBook page and I’ll be sure and post the link well ahead of the start of the race.

We ran the Round #10 qualy today.

Since I don't have a horse in this race, I drove the cars in the qualy and my wife, Marty, kept track of the comments and times

The qualy was run in the white (middle) lane. Each car was run for 5-10 laps to get used to it and to get the controller dialed in. Then each car got 10 laps for Fast Lap and 10-Lap Median. I find that the comparison of the fast lap and the 10-lap median gives you a pretty good indication of how the car will race; the closer those two times the more consistent the lap times and, in general, the easier to drive the car. The qualy was run at 10V and the tires on each car were cleaned on a sticky pad just prior to the break-in laps and again prior to the qualification laps.

When the smoke cleared, here are your results:

Congratulations to Lance, Cal and Ragtopman in the BTCC Class and to Cal, War Eagle River and CJ74 in DTM!!

That metal chassis on Scott's Opel makes it very easy to drive and push hard, which could make him the race favorite. Hats off to Corey for getting that MB to be competitive with those slinky Opels! I was pushing for a 5.9X with that car but couldn't quite get there........
