Hi everyone. I have completed qualifying. Here is the format I used: ANRP Oval configuration (lap times are usually in the 2.8-4 second range).
I did the following for each car: 5 laps to dial in my controller, tire clean, and 1 minute to set best lap. All qualifying was done in the yellow (middle) lane in counter clockwise direction.
Here is a pic of the field as I unpacked and placed them on the track before qualifying. All cars were in good order, had been well packed, and showed no damage of any kind.
And on to the Qualifying Results.......
The Podium:
And a wider pic of the podium and rest of the field......
Congrats to Aloha, REL13, and 101corvettes for secure the top three qualifying positions. This was a very close qualifying session and there were many starting positions separated by hundredths. Boy these cars are fun to drive. They all performed comfortably on the oval. Times varied based on a number of factors: motor, gearing, and tires (shocking I know). There seemed to be more wheel hop/chatter from the cars with the stock front wheels/tires, especially on those cars without any truing. I did write down some notes and am happy to share if needed but don't have time to write it all out tonight. Here are the full results:
*Updated as I had the 02 and 2 Owner/Builders mixed up.
Great job everyone. Some great driving cars and some fantastic liveries.
**The race will take place tomorrow morning at approx. 10am. Stay tuned!

Hello Car Builders/Owners! The race has been completed in just under 3 hours. It was very close with the top two separated by just one lap. We also had 8 different ties where cars finished on the same lap and sometimes within a car length or two of each other. Here is the race info and results:
Drivers:
Blue Lane - Bob Bianchi (rbianchi and SCC) - Difalco Controller
Yellow Lane - Wes Cotnoir (My27kgame) - Difalco
Red Lane - Josh Bouthot (ManchVegasRacer) - Difalco
Format: Each car was run for 2 minutes per lane. This was more than enough time to make our necks sore from the quick laps/times. The rotation was Blue, Red, and Yellow. Tires were cleaned with a sticky pad before each heat started.
The Podium:
1st Place: Aloha #2 114 Laps
2nd Place: 101corvettes #02 113 Laps
3rd Place: War Eagle River #09 109.5 Laps
Congrats to our podium finishers!!!
Fast Lap of the Race: Aloha #2 3.018 (Red Lane)
Full Results:
Here is a picture of every car's finishing position on the track: (We used this to determine places where cars tied on lap count)
These cars were so fun to drive!! Kuddos to all of you and for letting us drive them! Having just looked at the standings, it would seem that this will be a very competitive proxy. There were many cars that faired much different on my track versus the first two. Good luck to everyone in the next rounds. I already have the cars boxed up and ready to send to Arrold in Nashville. I should be able to mail them out on Monday. Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!!!

Josh, It looks like the Qualifying order is the same as the race finishing order, and that is different then what posted earlier.Robert- Shoreline Model Raceways Club

WOW! You guys didn't waste any time getting your round in!
Thank you for sharing the pictures and results - I will get the spreadsheet updated shortly!
(some cars DEFINITELY seemed to take a shining to this track in "race mode" blowing away their best qualifying times - WOW!)
