    ...and then race began.
First 25 laps was intense, to say the least.
TCLN on the lead but so pressed by Slothead that missed the brake and crashed at the end of main straight, thanksfully the driver was well but the car out of the race, it cames the safety car and will be not the only time!

Pressure was so intense that after two laps was Thundadownunda´s Ferrari who crashed and finished upsidedown at the very same spot the Vette did.

Two cars out of the race and then the Racing Bandit´s Jaguar began to lose power and refuse to move, there was fatal transmission failure! (pinion loose).

Three cars out and only 1/4 of race.

Positions after 25 laps (in brackets grid position)

    1(2)-#8 Slothead (Chevrolet)
    2(3)-#2 Zcafan(Ferrari)
    3(5)-#2 Chappyman (Porsche)
    4(6)-#130 CJR (Porsche)
    5(9)-#5 dw5555(Mercedes)
    6(8)-#6 Vonsirius(Jaguar)

    #6 TCLN (Chevrolet) DNF
    #22 Thundadownunda (Ferrari)DNF
    #16 Racing Bandit (Jaguar) DNF

    to be continued.

What an amazing and unfortunate start to the race! We are happy to be racing for the podium but hate to see competitors crashing out.
We told our driver to not get rattled, stay focused and chase down that Ferrari!

          laps 25-50
A fierce battle took place for 3rd place, both Porsches side to side and then another dissaster happened, the fast but unpredictable CJR´s 356 passes the curve and hit violently the barriers, driver was shocked but well, the car unable to continue. During testing some balast was added to the Porsche to low gravity point but seems to be not enought!

          Only five cars on track.

Positions after 50 laps (in brackets grid position)

          1(2)-#8 Slothead (Chevrolet)
          2(3)-#2 Zcafan(Ferrari)
          3(5)-#2 Chappyman (Porsche)
          4(9)-#5 dw5555(Mercedes)
          5(8)-#6 Vonsirius(Jaguar)

          #6 TCLN (Chevrolet) DNF
          #22 Thundadownunda (Ferrari)DNF
          #16 Racing Bandit (Jaguar) DNF
          #130 CJR (Porsche) DNF

          Laps 50-75

Vonsirius' Jaguar was unable to close the gap whith the other cars, the Jag has top speed but the driver found it a hell to drive! Team radio tell the driver to slow and mantain the car on track.

Meanwhile dw was able to overtook not one but two cars being now in P2!

Positions after 75 laps (in brackets grid position)

          1(2)-#8 Slothead (Chevrolet)
          2(9)-#5 dw5555(Mercedes)
          3(3)-#2 Zcafan(Ferrari)
          4(5)-#2 Chappyman (Porsche)
          5(8)-#6 Vonsirius(Jaguar)

          #6 TCLN (Chevrolet) DNF
          #22 Thundadownunda (Ferrari)DNF
          #16 Racing Bandit (Jaguar) DNF
          #130 CJR (Porsche) DNF

          Laps 75-100

Slothead was leading in quite comfortable near 4 secon gap and Vonsirius was about 9 seconds from P4, but battle in the middle was fierce,

Slothead crossed first the finish line , second was dw´s Mercedes and Chappyman was able to overtook Zcarfan´s Ferrari on the last lap only 0´13 seconds of difference among them!

Positions after 100 laps (in brackets grid position)

          1(2)-#8 Slothead (Chevrolet) 10points

Thank you, glad you like it.
It´s analog racing, when I refered to fuel managing it will be done using the 80´s Scalextric "fuel tank" electronic device or made compulsory stop at the operating pit lane.

Race it´s organized around two cars heats, winer goes up , loser down simple race format (if interesed I can give you full detail), even if you qualify last, you have, althought hard, a chance to win.

Doing that way you can manage a race racing solo or whith other racers on a friendly competition. (I use this race format on a regular "grand prix" that I race whith 4/5 more friends and works well).

A llittle of imagination and the write up does the rest.

Congratulations to Slothead for first finishing and then finishing first! Clearly attrition played a major role in this race. We got the Ferrari.....where in the world did that darn topless Dave come from this time???
While we are happy to be on the podium, it seems clear that we need to keep the revs up and not lose too much in the corners as those Vettes are putting out some serious horsepower.

Well disaster for the team as a very early crash put us out of the event, needless to say the whole team is very disappointed, but we move on to the next round with much repair work to get the topless Ferrari back on track and up the top

Congrats to all the teams that made it to the checkered flag - it was hard to keep all 4 tires on the track and avoid trouble. The Slothead Racing strategy was run hard, but race the track and see what happens. We're delighted to have gotten the win. More pizza please!

To the teams that didn't get to finish the race we offer our best wishes for the rest of the series.

Thank Slothead and congratulations on your victory. Not a first-time event for Bandit (Been there done that ). Season is young, still plenty of racing left.

Chappy, Chappy, Chappy...when ya gonna learn to NEVER count out DW. We may start out slow but most of the time we can claw our way back. Although I will be the first to admit a lot of luck is usually involved. Congrats Slothead. I'm lookin at you.

                      Dave,
Whenever you are around, I have to plan on not seeing what you are doing.....and counting two by two, apparently when your crew is around....topless or nearly so.
