  • GT3_2020_Proxy_Round 10 THE FINAL!! Kelowna MID-BC

Gentlemen the GT3 Proxy cars arrived personally delivered by Dariusz “Radarek”. We had a nice visit and ran a bunch of laps in my man cave. Enjoy your mini vacation in wine country Dariusz but your trip sounds very hectic!

I plan to open up the box of cars tomorrow, inspect the braids and make sure your cars are ready to possibly run a qualifying session by Monday. Racing is tentatively scheduled for next Sunday (eight days from now). I’ll give you the details later in the week how we plan to maintain social distancing and race your cars safe. I’m so amazed how fortunate we have been in this Proxy to have been able to keep racing safely thru March, April, and now into May.

Haha. You and Courtney will have a battle I’m sure! One point separating you two for the top ten. I have a hundred segments per lane so six feet not needed!

Rob, e-transfer has been made...one more win for #7, please just one more win!

Looking forward to some racing entertainment while we await the start of the F1 and other racing series. I have no doubt you will provide a great show....no pressure!

No E Transfer will be big enough. Actually maybe send your E Transfer to Brumos and hopefully any good progress will continue for your other Porsche in the TA proxy instead!

The race will be held at MID-BC, my home track. Construction of MID-BC began in November 2018, track length is 90 feet, flat latex painted roadway, and copper tape conductor. The track is divided into 100 segments, a lot of segments but the lap reading is a true decimal where your car stopped at the end of a heat. The qualifyimg & race will be ran at 11 volts.

Stunning track Rob! Excels in its execution and in its fine details. Truly inspiring!

This remains one of the most impressive tracks I have EVER seen. A true work of art Rob. Maybe one day I can come back there and spend a decent amount of time running laps: we have to dream! Good luck with the Q and race and my regards to the guys.

Thanks for the nice comments Alwyn, it was just a few months ago you popped in.....but it seems like years now with the way the world has changed. I know you will be back as this valley is tourist country!

I agree with Alwyn - fun just to run on a track like this!

I started unpacking the GT3cars. What a great box F1Fan built! Well protected our cars are!

I have only unpacked a few cars and during inspection I noticed Brumos’s guide blade was a little crooked. The holes in the guide blade possibly created a weakness and led to a crack in the back half of the blade. Only the front section of the guide is attached , it feels weak and will not last. I would like permission from F1Fan and Brumos to change.

The close up pictures will speak for themselves

*there actually is a crack in the front of the guide too I now notice. . The front crack leads from the first hole to the front of the guide

The guide can be replaced, I have no issues with that. It should be of similar size (like for like) as much as possible, and no other tuning can be done.

Looking forward to racing on the this amazing track!

That’s the best call. I have a Slot.it CH85 guide that looks the same size just without all the holes in the blade. I’m away from home the rest of today till late and will change the guide tomorrow

Chris, Rob thank you both. It's a CH85 guide, Rob let me know where you order from so I can get you a credit on your next parts order.

Gentlemen, F1Fan, others.....we have run the qualifying at MID-BC. Fantastic cars.....no wonder the podium and all positions were constantly flip flopping. The Video is presently uploading and you will see the results. More comments to come.

The Grid before qualifying. Qualifying was in reverse order.

Qualifying video is up. All cars were so close plus check out the median times on the video. The median time gets rid of times at the extreme ends (crash or lucky fast lap)

I’ll post the results sheet you see see on the video a little later for easy viewing.

Congratulations to F1Fan with the very very very slim margin of victory to receive the pole. 2nd Cgyracer 3rd Smokeio. Nice to see Rossko’s car loving this track in a close 4th

Congrats to the podium...have an observation. F1 Fan is definitely not that good looking and muscular. Now on the other hand Rob and Smokeio look spot on!

Screenshot of my Race Coordinator qualify results that appears on the video. You will notice all the close results. Interesting looking at the median times. Great cars, it’s to close to call any position.

Well I like the fast lap but that median lap is looking kinda scary going into the race!

Ya kinda weird hey. Your tires started hooking up as the qualifying went on it seemed. That good for the race!
