  • 2020 Ford vs Ferrari Proxy Round 5 MID-BC Kelowna BC

Round 5 will be ran at the MID-BC track. Here’s a picture of the race track as the cars are on route. 90 foot lanes, 21’ x 12’, latex paint roadway.

If there is interest I could set up a video of the race. I have been very busy these past few weeks but I could take the time to record this round.

Hi, the cars arrived on Wednesday from Dariusz. Once I settle down this weekend I'll open the box, check over the cars and plan to run the qualifying. I'll talk to the fellas here and plan the race sometime in the next week or two as well. We will try to limit the amount of KSCC crew to about five to limit our grouping.

Racers, I unpacked your cars and all the cars appear to be in good condition. For those interested, I'm going to try and broadcast a qualifying video at 6PM Pacific Time Friday. I'll post the YouTube link on Thursday giving you a day's notice. Cars will be qualified at 11volts in reverse order of the current standings to determine the grid for race day.

Cars are lined up in order of the current standings in pictures below.

Full house, no social distancing at that track, standing room only!

PS: the track scenery, signage, pits buildings and the way the crowd is dressed all fits the cars & era perfectly.

Thanks, July was the last time attendance increased in the stands but looking at the packages I have there is about 350 more figures to install. Full occupancy will be about 1000 I believe. I kind of got tired of cutting arms off and glueing the arms in a raised position. I’m starting to get the urge to continue fairly soon.

could of been worse, if you had to follow covid19 rules, all those figures would need masks and be spaced 6 feet apart.

Lots of nice cars in this Proxy mostly NSR and Slot.it bodies. But I see in seventh place is Dennis’s car that is a quarter inch narrower than most cars. Impressive.

Today (Friday Oct 16) on YouTube: Qualifying at MID-BC on at 6:15PM Pacific Time. 9:15PM Eastern Time.

Not sure if you any of you do but watching a YouTube HD or 4K video on a Smart TV or a laptop connected to a TV is a great viewing experience versus on a smaller phone or tablet. Give it a try if you have not. This video will be in HD.

Very nice track. The pit area is awesome as is the rest of the track.

Lots of people to paint and set in that display, but well worth the effort.

Fantastic effort Rob, even with no horse in this race, I enjoyed the show!

Huge amount of time and effort goes into streaming these events, I am confident all the entrants appreciate it.
