  • The Cars!

I decided to just start a new thread in there. We have a full Grid minus 1 individual I have pm'd. Mitch's car is not here as it will join the group for round 1.

I am planning on trying to get that done in two weeks at his place.

The cars look great, there was a couple cars that had problems with the front wheels touching. I was able to adjust some braids and get them down, with some running I am sure they will be find.

Some of the cars guide mounting look pretty fragile, I will be cautioning the track as much as possible to drive within the limits of these cars!

I did the best I could with pics for you guys, lighting on my new track is a work in progress!

And last but not least, some grid shots! These make a fine looking grid to say the least!

I also have a shot of every car on the scales if you guys would like it. The only thing I will say is every car passes the general tech rules aside from a couple only having 1 number visible. They all have a nose number though and with these cars that is the most visible by far.

The only other close call was BARC1, who weighed in at 84.9 grams. Yes I double checked it......

I am ready to get this party started! I will be delivering the cars for the first qualification with Mitch next Thursday!

Thanks for the pics Zack. Expect the 33 to howl like a V12,as I didn't get a chance to sort the gears.

Only 5 entries from last years top 10 cars. Maybe I'll have a chance.

CourtneyS's blue car is bad ass. Well I'm partial blue is my favorite color.

What I can see in the pics is my car is so high at the front as it’s standard...why are all the other cars so low at the front without modifying the axel height ....
is it the model I used as I had to buy last years car and this years car and I’m only been into slotcars for 5/6yrs
so I can only buy what’s available...

Axle height is fixed but the tire diameter can be shortened as it is on many of these cars. You would have to play with the guide spacing and tire height to get the car lower. But in this case it does seem that the car is just made kinda high.
