Good evening everyone, qualifying for Saturday's oval race at Amoskeag North Race Park has just concluded. The cars were all very close in both series. It was a lot of fun to drive them all. Qualifying was done in the yellow lane. I dialed in each car on my controller, cleaned the tires, and then set out to get the best lap I could in 1 minute. Here are the results:
Winston Cup Series Qualifying:
One the front row:
Pole: #43 Arroldn 2.914s
2nd: #85 REL 2.984s
And the full field:
The green flag on the race will drop at approximately 9:30am on Saturday, 8/8/2020. Stay tuned......
On another note, we are looking for Austin's #15 car. It did not make the trip to NH for some reason. I am hopeful it can get here and get qualified before race time on Saturday. Car #15, where are you?
COT Series Qualifying:
On the front row:
Pole: #83 K0z0oo1 2.892s
2nd: #88 Aloha 2.936s
And the full field:
The COT series race will immediately follow the Winston Cup Series race on Saturday, 8/8/2020. Stay tuned.....

Thanks to the team that did the qualifying tonight. Hopefully both of my cars can end up in victory lane. To my WC competitors REL and Machvegasrace congratulations. In COT who has something for Scott??? Congratulations Dale. Let's Go Racing on a Saturday Day/Night.
Just realized after looking again this morning that my Dodge Charges in COT have swapped positions. Hopefully there is nothing wrong with the #2. It needs a podium to stay in the top 5.

Ok folks, Race #4 is in the books. We had a great time Saturday morning running the cars on the oval. It was extremely close racing with very few offs for any of the cars.
Each car was raced for 1:30 in each lane. Lane rotation was Blue, Yellow, Red. Drivers were Andy Wilder (Blue), Matthew Wilder (Yellow), and Dickie Pearson (Red).
But first, we were able to determine why Austin's car was not on the transporter as scheduled.........
On to the race....
Winston Cup Series:
This was an extremely close finish with 1st and 2nd place separated by half a lap at the end.
1st Place: #13 REL 90.75 Laps
2nd Place: #43 Arroldn 90.25 Laps
3rd Place: #51 Manchvegasracer 89.75 Laps
And the full results:
Great run for all the cars! Next picture is where all cars finished their drives on the track.....
COT Series:
Not much of a surprise here with a certain Jurassic car taking the win by almost 3 laps.....
1st Place: #83 K0z0oo1 93.5 Laps
2nd Place: #4 bopalou 90.75 Laps
3nd Place: #88 Aloha 89.25 Laps
Great job guys!!!
And the full results:
And a pic of where all the cars finished on the track....
Congrats to all the participants. All of these cars performed very well on the oval!
Good luck in the next rounds.Last edited by manchvegasracer; August 9, 2020, 11:46 AM.

Congratulation to the winners and thanks for racing our cars. Thanks specially for the great pictures! You really have pretty grid girls.
At the cup race my #5 car has the same number of laps as the 3rd place. So with an ex aequo finish it should have gained a second 3rd place.

I would think with a faster Fast Lap you would have been awarded 3rd. That is how I would have done it here at Nashville SuperSpeedway. Well looking at the picture your car looks to be just a litter more than a half a lap back. IJS So If the host is using race distance then Fast Lap doesn't matter. I have never accounted for place on the track. It may be a better way of getting things correct in close/same number of laps. It works for me since I do Laps vs Time thus if the times are the same I use Fast Lap to break the tie.Last edited by arroldn; August 9, 2020, 03:00 PM.

Guys. I have my track sectioned off into tenths so that I can avoid ties. The #88 traveled further than the #5 in overall distance. I thought that is what we were trying to attain. You can see that in the photo as the cars were placed back on the track where they finished. We used stickers during the race to mark each car’s final position as they finished in the red lane. This is a fair and accurate way to determine final positions in my opinion. Much better than using fastest lap as you can see which car went the furthest.
