2020 DaVols Forums Cup Proxy Series Race Hosts

Hello all!

DaVols Forums Cup Proxy is looking for race hosts for the 2020 season. Any hosts from last year or any previous season that can host again is appreciated, and new hosts are always welcome. If our hosts from last year return, we will have 3 road courses this year in addition to mostly oval tracks. Tracks can be plastic, or routed. We do run urethane tires, so it is a plus if your already "rubbered in." I would like this season to consist of 12 races on a two to three week schedule, past hosts will get preferential dates.

Hi Scott, if you can schedule a race near the time of Manchvegas, I'm 99% positive I can get a race in at the Dust Bunny Raceway (also in NH). Let me know

All race hosts... please update me here with your availability. With the current situation, we will likely be operating similar to NASCAR here in that we will make up the schedule as we go. The first change will be the first race, I will run it myself at Kozo Raceway Park. It is a 3 lane MDF road course. The local ovals here in NEPA have been taken down by the owners for one reason or another... so there is little choice. This will replace No-Way... Speedway

34ever1 , REL13, manchvegasracer , dungeonracer Can we go for a New England swing for races 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6? No specific time table... just looking for where we can send the cars next. (Ivoryton Oval, Manure Pile Oval, Amoskeag Oval, Amoskeag Road, DungeonRacer Oval?)

That sounds good to me. But I will find out about the Manure Pile.

We will be doing a race tonight using the conditions that I posted in the Club section of this BB. The owner of the Manure Pile should be there , so I will inquire about holding a race there. The track is located in a very constricted area so it would not be an ideal candidate for holding a race anytime soon. I would guess that we would have to wait until the end of June before we could even consider it.

We did discuss holding the race at the Manure Pile last night and we will be holding a race there, probably using three lanes, in two weeks. We will have to see how that works out and the general situation with respect to the infection rate will need to be taken into account. If the relaxation of various restrictions results in a significant increase that would certainly delay things, otherwise we could do the race by the end of July.
Another option that was discussed was to set up the big Gypsy trioval outside.

Whatever you guys decide. Do what is safe. Its been a while since the Gypsy has been in the loop if my memory serves me correctly. Let the cars stretch their legs.

The Ivoryton Raceway will be able to run a race. We plan on running 2 lanes and only 3 people. 2 drivers and 1 running the computer.
