  • GT3 Slot Car Proxy 2021 - Round #7: Mugello

    Evening Gents,

I can confirm the cars are here, will check them tonight to make sure all survived our friendly postie.

I haven't been home in a while, so I'll check the track to make sure it's good to go. If so, look for qually soon, and race likely Saturday. Qually will run the middle lane,

We will livestream via our club's Facebook page to which we will post a link (you do not need to have an account to view).

Race will be the same format as last year, two outer lanes with an empty one in between - as COVID still prevents in-house gathering. My son and I will be running the cars again this year. Absolutely zero racing this year, so rust will be apparent. But we'll do our best to break the track record ( yellow lane 4.896 by a stock TS Lola spyder).

    More soon...

Thank you Tom, much appreciated. I looking forward to round 7, and maybe a bit more luck than in round 6 for car #7!

    Stay safe and have fun.

Thanks Tom. Calgary has always been a great host for our Proxies all these years. Sounds like you have a great plan and thank you very much for taking the time away from your long Easter weekend to run our cars. Very much appreciated.

Checked the cars out to make sure all is good and cleaned the tires. Took a quick video.

I sorted the cars into two lanes, one for each of the two transport compartments they came in. Front to back starting with easiest handling and speed.

Qually should be interesting, I think my track record could easily fall.

Tom, that was a great treat to watch! What really stood out for me was your well considered, solid and professional comments about each and every car. I really, really enjoyed that. This should come as no surprise to anybody that knows you but still: I loved it.

It was a bit of a leap into the unknown for me to go with the Revoslot: still not sure it was a good idea but hey, regardless of the performance/results, at least it is different and interesting!

Tom, as always you do a great job in your presentation and it is very helpful to the builders. Congrats to the podium finishers who were just so dialed in. Your track record falling with 9 cars eclipsing the previous mark is a testament to how competitive this field is. Good luck to all in the upcoming race.

Thanks for the time and effort put in and the comments on the car . A full second off the front runners so much room to improve. Congrats to the front runners for showing us the way.

                          Cheers
