As you already know, my mate Rob (CGYRacer) is taking over the reigns of the GT3 proxy as I am taking a break from running this series and focusing on the new baby in the family, the Proxy World Championship.

I did however want to start the ball rolling on the 2021 series, by thanking you once again for the support during the last few years, without your participation, the great hosts and the support of Rob and others behind the scenes, this event would not have become what arguably is one of the finest proxy series in the world.

Although Rob will now be the GT3 Race Director the intention is not to change or mess with the format, the series will continue to be a premium event and it might not suit all entrants. The requirements and selection process will not change, but we will work on a few rule clarifications, e.g. guide depth. The GT3 proxy will remain together with the Group 5 and the new Proxy World Championship within the Championship Proxy Events family.

I would also like to discuss with Rob the possibility of allowing the Ford GTE to be allowed in the series, but ultimately he will have the final say on that (I see Sideways will release that model soon)

So, all is new, but all remains the same....over to you Mr. Rob!

Hey guys! It's me the guy who likes to be behind the scenes and watch F1Fan be the Race Director, Project Manager, Logistic Manager, Prize Coordinator, and even comedian for the GT3 and Group5 Championship Proxies! I'll give it my very best and try to perform as well as F1Fan has been leading us with the very well ran Championship Proxy Series. F1Fan now has bigger fish to fry....The World Championship Proxy under the same "brand" as the Group 5 and GT3 Proxy he has grown and led.

OK so here is your opportunity to pre_register for the 2021 "Championship Proxy" GT3 series. This season the Proxy changed to a GT3 body style, but other than that the series rules and structure remained the same as the Group 5 Proxy in previous seasons..

    Recap:

The top 16 finishers from the current series + any previous series champion will have a reserved spot in the series. Please note that if car "x" finishes this year in position 11 (which means that it is eligible for the 2021 series) but decides not to enter, then it does not mean car in position 17 moves up, it only means that there is an additional spot available in the 27 car field.

If we receive more than 27 cars at the deadline, then there will be a "shootout" to determine who makes it into the 27 car field. Cars that do not make it into the field will be returned, entry fee will be refunded, minus a $10 return shipping fee. I will do my best to provide feedback on these cars to ensure that there is somewhat of a learning experience for all entrants.

Since we do not know for sure who will make this year's top 16, I will ask that all interested builders post their intention to race below. Entry fee will be $25 USD (registration and payment deadline will be July 31st) and the deadline for the cars to be in Kelowna, BC will be November 6th, 2020. PayPal and shipping information will be posted here at a later date. This gives you 6 months to build a great car!

The Shootout, Round 0 and Post Series Technical "Under the Hood" videos will continue in order to uphold the Championship Proxy Brand. The biggest change is that I will be creating the videos at the MID-BC track. ……..yes I have big shoes to fill!

The returning Champion own's car #1 (if they want this number!) and previous entrants have first right of refusal on their car number.

You can find all the rules and the details in the attached PDF. PLEASE take a moment to review and familiarize yourself with the details.

Update June 10 - minimum wheel (rim) diameter for BOTH front and back is now 15mm

Looking forward to YOU joining us in the series.

All interested builders post your intention to race below along with your car number. I will create the Entrant List below.
Keep in mind, the 2020 Champion own's car #1 and the previous 2020 GT3 Proxy series 27 entrants have first right of refusal on their car number.

Note: For new entrants here is a link to the 2020 GT3 scoreboard where you will find the numbers for the 27 cars entered this 2020 season. Hopefully this makes it easier for potential new entrants to choose their car number

Registration and payment ($25 USD) deadline is July 31st

OK, let's see if it makes a difference if I put tires on the Huracan that DO NOT turn to melted shreds of rubber when attempting to qualify on a track with a different surface than mine . Number 6 please.

        cheers

Hey Dennis! #4 is owned by Aloha at the moment. You will need to choose a different number! Let me know or if Dale takes a different number does come up.

OK I'll try again. The Huracan has had it's bushings glued in. I'll just have to see if the Viper is quicker after I make a few modifications. #63 or #53 hope no one else wants either number.

Great Arrold! That's great you are back and looks like you are itching to get that Viper into the Proxy! Both numbers are on hold for you but to be fair to other entrants if somebody wants one of the numbers you will need to make a decision.
