            That'a a well-built version of a Carl "Bugsy" Stevens race car. Bugsy was a great modified driver here in the northeast. I believe he lied about his age & started racing at age 15.

                Bugsy Stevens first race was at Pan American Speedway in Texas in 1957. He used the name Bugsy Stevens as he was in the Military and you were not allowed to race. REL13

                    Thanks for posting the photo of the 1:1 Bugsy Stevens coupe above. This car is in an autosports museum somewhere in either MA, RI, or CT. i think it's RI. One of my friends living here in NH, grew up across the road from Bugsy's Berghman family in Rehobath..

                    Sometime could you post photos of your Bugsy Steven's modified chassis? I'd be interested in seeing how you constructed it.
