  • Lighting Up Your Buildings! Church Lighting update

Great looking cars even look better to me racing on/around just as realistic track scenery.

Being TOTALLY non-mechanical, I am always battling on lighting up my buildings, and having the lights burn out.

Woodland Scenics came to my help recently with their "Just Plug" LED lighting system (see attached)

One $19.99 Power Supply (with the help of a daisy chain connector) can power many buildings.

The Hub Set $19.99 will power four LED lights (you get two lights in hub kit)

Additional sets of two LED lights $9.99 get you four LED lights per hub.

You can find all three of these in the train section of Hobby Lobby and will save you 40% (just saw a post on this site that Hobby Lobby ends their famous coupon end of month)

Here are two "before and after" examples.

Plus the "before of a church" that will have a front sidewalk light, a bell tower light and each of those mosaic windows will shine!!

I know my limits and these are worth the extra expense and I am thinking will out last me!!

Have you checked out Miller Engineering. He has great lighting kits that include neon looking ones. I bought a flashing Castrol sign for my winners circle, it is a show stopper with its animated lighting. Check out his website, and you might find additional must haves.

Lighting makes a big difference and really makes a layout come alive.

I really like what you have been up to.

      Cheers

I have "electrified" the church on Dundee Speedway.

Church was established 60 years ago on my O gauge RR, and I thought it would neat to be incorporated on the Speedway.

The "graveyard" stones are RR accessories, and I have no idea where the Nun's came from, an oh yes the statue glows in the dark.

The Hearse, coffin, and grave stones will indeed add interest, yet the lighting really draws your eye!!

Your lighting looks great. I have several of the Miller Engineering animated signs.

I've had Miller in their "King" quart can and in Quebec you can get quart sized bottles.

Will definitely have to check into that lighting! I have some castle buildings and towers that I'll be using on my next layout and was wondering how to light them - I think these might be just the ticket.

Check out their website, there are a ton of options available outside of what Hobby Lobby offers!
