Having raced on this track, I can say it's a lot of fun and challenging.
And yeah, Rob's a pretty cool guy

You're living in an area with plenty of well known race tracks. Yes, they are mostly dirt ovals (Albany-Saratoga, Lebanon Valley, Fonda, etc.) but race fans are race fans. I only attended dirt oval races decades ago but have been racing all sorts of slot cars for as long. I hope you can get the word out among the fans of those tracks - I think you'd find good race buddies.

If I still lived in the Poughkeepsie area I'd drive up to race with you and stop in while attending races at the tracks in your area.

I just saw that multi-time champion at Albany-Saratoga Speedway and Lebanon Valley Speedway, Kenny Tremont, has a Facebook fan club page. I'm sure other area drivers such as Matt Shepherd also have Facebook pages for fans. Maybe some comments placed on those pages about slot car racing would get you some responses.

Ya, that's a sweet track wish I lived closer too! Thanks for the great pictures, funny very similar to my current Carrera track layout!

Very cool, a nice compact design. From what I see at the starting line, the cars travel left to right in the driver's field of vision down the back straight, correct?
Too bad for me it looks like a six hour haul for me from out on the south shore of Long Island. But, ya never know where the road's gonna take ya... When things are normal, I'm a vendor at the plastic model show in Poughkeepsie each October, and that only gets me halfway to you! Last year's event was canceled, of course.
Thanks for the look. Stay safe, stay healthy, and... Enjoy! -- Ernie

Is Chris Briggs still living in that area of NY? He was a very experienced 1/32 slot racer & a K9 officer with a police department there.
