Dennis, what town or city are you located in? I'm a Maineiac who spent nine years in the Framingham area & moved to NH in 1978. We now live in New Boston, west of Manchester.

Hi Bill,
We are in Merrimack, probably 30 - 40 minutes from you.
We lived in Framingham the first year we were married way back in '75.
Until we moved to Merrimack 13 years ago neither my wife or I had ever lived out of MA.
Maybe when this COVID stuff is sorted out we can get together for some racing. :-)

Hi Rusty,
The larger drag strip is 48' long, so a scale 1/4 mile for 1/32 of 41.25', plus a short shut down area that ends in foam blocks.
There's a DS200 timing system dedicated to that drag strip.

After a few attempts I came to the conclusion (which I always sort of knew anyway) that I'm not artistic or patient enough to do scenery around my tracks.
I also have changed my layouts every few months over the years so scenery would have to be modular and movable rather than permanent.
So, here are my tracks in all their naked glory. 😀

Drag racing is my favorite form of real racing, so as you can see that has been replicated here in slots from HO to 1/24 scale.
The large drag strip is Strombecker track so it can handle 1/24 cars.
It is a 1/4 mile for 1/32 and 1/43 scale cars. For 1/24 it is a 1,000' to follow the NHRA. HO has its own Auto World 1/4 scale drag strip.

The road course is Artin 1/32 track which I went to in 2004 after having been running on Strombecker track since 1966.
Back then I had a huge collection of every type of Strom track ever made including several complete sets and over 400 sections of track. With an impending move it was simply too much to pack up so I sold all the sets and most of the track and switched to Artin once the new abode was ready.
