Looks good Paul. If you can add a little more table you will have more storage space underneath. I have always found that is a big plus for a nice table is all the room under it for storage!!!

I've driven Paul's track - really fun layout! I like the new Pit structure!

...and does that kid hire out?

Hope his hands are not as shaky as mine! I joke about that, but some of my buddies have the shakes too bad to even consider putting together a slot car and painting it. Most of us are fortunate to still do this stuff. i do think the HRW crowd average age is a bit younger than I am.

He really enjoyed himself....I have several lines of spectators hot glued around the perimeter now.

I really have to do the groundwork.... he's fired up to help! And that way I can get a racing buddy too.....

Well...my grandson seems to have inherited the creative gene from his mom. He has been gung-ho about the scenery, so we have been working here and there.

I got a grass mat from the LHS for $5 in the clearance bin. So that inspired him:

I took him to a train show a couple weeks ago, and we found trees and some turf in various colors. Along with some local sand, we made a start. That's a bit more of an "orchard" than I was thinking....but I am not going to discourage him in the least.

He also decided we needed a tower at the highest point of the track:

So we used bamboo skewers, cardboard and hot glue. He's quite the young artist, more than happy to work with whatever materials are at hand. The sign is printed on photo paper and backed with a second layer for stiffness. When I asked him which one he wanted to use he said "definitely Ferrari"

So I am starting to have scenery, courtesy of the spray foam and my grandson. I am happy, he is happy, we spend time together and it's all good.
                Nothing I can't change later.

Looks fun, I bet it keeps you on toes running some fast laps. It's always nice to have an extra set of hands to help out with scenery

Well....looks like the lap record is about 5.5 sec....typical lap times run around 6 - 7 sec. I run at 10V so Fly cars are a blast. NC1 cars are fun and pretty equal.
