Willow Point Raceway

After living in Vancouver for 74 years, we decided to sell the house and move to Campbell River on Vancouver Island, leaving behind a very active slot car scene and a great bunch of racers.
On the plus side, I get to build a new track in a much nicer house. The challenge will be finding local racers.

I wondered how long it would be until a track showed up. Not long at all. And a very nice track indeed! Looks likes great flow with fast stretches.....that's going to be a fast track.
And of course, masterful scenery is in process....

Nice flow with some niggles to make it more of a challenge as usual. Good that you were able to include most of the old Targa track buildings.

Looking forward to trying it sometime in 2020 with some of your old Greater Vancouver Slot Car Club (GVSCC) mates.

I set a car at 6 volts just to show bits of the track, still lots of work to do on the scenery, but that's the fun part.

I put 3 cars on the track...



...set the controllers to full on...





...adjusted the voltage and let the cars do laps.

You guys get to pick the winner of a 3 lap race.
Winner gets 3 points, second gets 2 points, third gets 1 point and a breakout is 0 points.
Each race will probably be with different cars.

I figure one race every 2 or 3 days and see who has the most points at the end of a month.

You need to post your pick and I’ll post the pre-recorded video on Youtube the next day.

For example...

Lane 1 Slot-It Lancia 6.1V best practice lap-11.45 breakout is 11.3 start delay 6.6 sec
Lane 2 Ninco Migane 6.5V best practice lap 12.16 breakout is 11.9 start delay 4.8 sec
Lane 3 Ninco 911 7.2V best practice lap 13.85 breakout is 13.5 start delay is 0 sec.
