  • New Modified build.

This round of Showdown cars inspired me to start building something. This time with a focus on making it lighter weight to hopefully be more competitive on the oval.

This is a Brew body, I am calling the car "Gonza".

Chris, We have to run like 1/8" track clearance per the rules. So I should have enough room to make it happen, I will let you know if I am wrong!

What, no Gremlin? LOL. I actually have a Gremlin modified kit I've been intending to get to "one of these days"

Tonight's progress. Mostly paint and drivetrain install, waiting on big tires and wheels from SCC!

                Looks cool -

This low-slung Monza based asphalt mod was a favorite and a real contender around Long Island and NY back in the 70s.

Finished up this car today. Happy with how it turned out for the most part.

Scratch built the headers out of some brass tubing, and hand painted the number etc to give it that old school dirt track look! I have to get it on the scales but I think I kept it pretty light while still having a lot of detail.

Thanks Brew for the body and driver figure. I can't wait to start another!
