Couple folks asked about this, so sharing again. Still my way of doing it.

I put PG tires on all my wood road course cars but don't replace the wheels on RTR cars (Scalextric, Pioneer, Fly, MRRC, etc.). Do you have a particular method for mounting tires on stock plastic wheels that don't have a hollowed out cavity for inserts?

Well, the article is for tires/wheels that have no inner rib that MUST be glued. Without the inner rib, the tires need to be placed on the wheel true so that there is no wobble to them.

I don’t think I have any standard ready to run 1/32 wheels that do not have a rib.

For standard wheels I just install the tires and roll them on a flat surface using light pressure to make sure they are seated fully.
