Building a "Summer Slam" sportsman.
Started with a Harry Wise 80 something Buick from a couple or three years back.

In the Strangebrew tradition, had to cut it up.
Took off the doors & quarter panel. Removed about 1/8" from the rear deck.
Glued some styrene angle widening the body about 1/8" on each side.
Cut some pieces from a prescription bottle for fender flares after removing a large
chunk from the hood area, then added some .030 styrene sheet to make up the side panels.

Using good old 2 part Bondo, liberally smeared the whole mess with the stuff.
After some sanding, re-applying, sanding again & a couple heavy coats of primer.......
Here's what I had to work with!

Next I built the usual "Strangebrew-Lite" chassis from about 30" of 3/64 brass rod, square adjust-a-bushing oilites,
Professor motor guide tongue & acouple bits here & there.
I just soldered the Piranha motor in there with Cox gears, Parma guide, Big Mama braid, Pro-Track wheels &
some urethane tires.
Nothin' fancy here, just functional.....

Rebuilt the interior to fit, finished the body with Ace Hardware black enamel, Dupli-Color silver, home printed
graphics on adhesive backed vinyl & a coat or two of Ace Hardware clear enamel.
Hope there's a "Showdown" in the future ......................... Sportsman's READY
................................THE END: Brew...........................
